Jean Cassegrain and his wife Renée, owners of Sultan a small tobacco Business in Paris, introduced leather-covered pipes in the 1950s. They quickly became the world's first luxury leather-covered pipes. Then they expanded into small leather goods for men, such as wallets, passport covers. The first women handbag was launched in 1971 and became one of France's leading leather goods makers.
All of their bags displays their famous jockey logo. Every Day, Jean Cassegrain was passing by a corner of Longchamp racecourse in which was standed a flour mill. As their last name means « miller » in French, they chose to make a parallel between these two worlds and drew a jockey on a horse logo.


This waist bag is sewn in the famous nylon canvas of the brand and hides the clasp.
